ADSL
WHAT IS ADSL BROADBAND
ADSL is a new inexpensive way of transferring data at high speed over existing telephone line. By upgrading your line to carry digital signals instead of the current analogue system it becomes capable of carrying data at a much higher rate than ever before.
Currently, home and small business users have had to use modems over a traditional phone line or a slightly faster isdn connection to the Internet. As modems convert digital information into clear audible tones over the hearing spectrum, speed has always been impacted by the limitations of sound, as that was all the original phone system was designed to carry.
ADSL FEATURES
- Up to 40 times faster than an analogue modem
- Permanent connection to the internet
- An unlimited flat rate.
- Up to 2000 kbps download time and 256 kbps upload, allowing larger downloads in a very short time such as software updates and large emails.
- ADSL uses your existing phone line
